Pirots 2: how CollectR works
Pirots 2 replaces conventional payline matching with CollectR. Four birds move through a six-by-six field, gathering gems of their own colours and collecting feature symbols along the way. Gems can be upgraded through seven payout levels. Bird position, the next reachable gem and its current level matter more here than looking for a line across stationary reels.
The meter and bonus progression
Collected gems fill a meter. Completing it awards three chests with random features. Three collected bonus symbols trigger the bonus, and the grid, meter progress and gem levels carry into that round. The Super Bonus picture is the studio's example of an entry with five free drops; it does not show an outcome from our own play.
Feature symbols and gem upgrades
The feature symbols include coins, gem upgrades, wilds, grid expansion, redrops, transformations, popcorn and bonuses. Popcorn can bridge an empty square once, letting a bird reach a position it could not otherwise cross. The illustrated rules below connect each bird to its gem colour and show the seven levels, making the collection route and the value of an upgrade easier to follow.
