John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen review: the game format

John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen uses five reels, three rows and 25 paylines. Money symbols interact with collectors that can gather values, increase them, multiply them or activate expansions and respins. A printed cash value is therefore only one part of the collection calculation.

Features of John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen

The official description highlights the final respin of free spins as an opportunity to collect money values accumulated during the round. Watch the collector type and the feature's stored total instead of reading each visible value as an immediate payout. Exact activation thresholds are not given in the short manufacturer overview and should be checked in the game's help panel.

Separate wilds, collectors and scatters

The symbol table states that wilds substitute for ordinary symbols but not for scatters, money symbols or collectors. Wilds can appear on reels two, three and four. Scatters also occupy those middle reels, with three triggering eight free spins in this demo. This separates the trigger from the collection mechanics: seeing a money amount is not itself the same as completing the free-spin trigger.
